Marc Atrash, is an Animator & Illustrator based out of Oakland, CA.
His work is cartoonish, surreal, whimsical, and ideally a little bit stupid. His creative practice explores the relationships we create: (with each other, with nature, and with technology), and the ways in which that shapes our identity. But also sometimes he just makes something because it sounds like a fun idea. Marc creates animations across 2D frame-by-frame & 3D digital rendered animation, as well as stop-motion animation. With illustrations across digital environments, as well as physical mixed media and paint. They also dabble in creative writing, woodworking, and at one point they used to know how to play the drums.
They are a current resident artist of safariiiCAMP, an Oakland based artist collective, and have been volunteering as a facilitator for Sketchboard for the last year.
